Group Structure & History
Rugby Estates Investment Trust was incorporated on 26 March 2007. On 15 May 2007, the company raised gross proceeds of £50 million through the issue of 50 million ordinary shares of 1p each at 100p per share, and the ordinary shares were admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange’s market for listed securities.
On 31 August 2007, the Company announced its first acquisition, the purchase of City Lands Investment Corporation Limited. The City Lands portfolio consists of 24 properties with 54 tenants and was valued by CB Richard Ellis at £35.2 million in June 2007.
On 26 September 2007 the Company announced the purchase of JRPA Properties from private investors. The JRPA group owns seven commercial investment properties in Southern England valued at £18.3 million in JRPA's accounts at 31 March 2007.
The Group's current policy is that properties remain in the ownership of the companies that are acquired. Currently, Rugby Estates Investment Trust owns 100% of City Lands Investment Corporation Limited and 100% of JRPA Properties Limited, a holding company which in turn owns 100% of JRPA Estates Limited.
